- Repeat prescriptions are normally for patients with long-term conditions who receive regular treatment.
- Your doctor will explain the repeat prescription system upon beginning regular treatment.
- You can order medication by telephoning POD (prescription ordering direct, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm on 02476 246025 . Please provide the exact drug names wherever possible.
- Please allow at least 48 hours after submitting your request before collecting your prescription from your chosen chemist.
- Patients with some chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and asthma will be seen regularly for monitoring of their condition; failure to attend these reviews may delay your repeat prescription request. These checks are for patient safety.
- Please tell us of any changes to your repeat prescription list made at the hospital or if you stop any medication by yourself or if you are taking any over the counter medication or herbal treatment
- Do not stockpile unwanted drugs at home – return them to your chemist
You can register with the practice for an online repeat prescription ordering service. Please contact the surgery for more information and an online registration form. All you need is some photo I.D, an individual email address and some time to set up your access.
